Last night he returned from another business trip ( that he would not postpone due to crisis - I'm being ridiculous!)and I told him to explain to the kids & leave asap. So he did.

I just want to thank you all for your support and advise - I have been/am still a complete mess but you have all rallied to set me back on track and I am so grateful.

My DDs, who I am horrified have been hurt in all this, are in need of extra TLC and security & I will concentrate on them now.
