been groped by brother in law

he was here to pick something up, and as he was leaving grabbed my breast and tried to kiss me. I told him to fuck off and threw him out. I can't belive this, I have known him for nearly 20 years and thought he was one of the good guys. So apparently now that my husband has left me I am fair game to any passing perv. I am in two minds about telling my sister, I know I should, but I think this was a bizarre one off and it would break her heart.

Poor you what a shit.I dont know what else to say.

copingvquietly · 20/07/2008 20:56

you have to say something.you cant let him get away with this

Heated · 20/07/2008 20:57

Moron. And how shocking for you.

BetteNoire · 20/07/2008 21:00

Next time you are in the same room as him and your sister, tell them that a supposed friend has groped you, that you are furious, and that if it happens again you will smash him in the face with a toaster, tell his wife, and contact the police to let them know you have been sexually assaulted.

That should get your point across to the sick bastard.

cafebistro · 20/07/2008 21:01

Poor you! What a difficult position to be in...If it was me I would like to think i could tell my sister what had happens but once you do theres no going back and it could open a can of worms...
Are you close to your sister? Do you think she'd want to know? Or would she rather be oblivious to her husbands wandering hands?
Maybe it was a one off and there's no need to do anything....he's probably shitting himself that your going to tell your sister and is therefore suffering enough ..

sportscandy · 20/07/2008 21:03

Thanks, I'm still in shock, it happened last night. I don't think I will say anything to my sister because I'm pretty sure in his thick head he was just trying his luck, and it will cause major trouble for her obv. The mad/sad thing is I really want to talk to my ex about it and for him to hold me and make me feel better...

Bette, that's a great idea, I am SO going to do that, thanks !

What is your ex likely to do if you told him?

Heated · 20/07/2008 21:09

Excellent advice BetteNoire!

Janos · 21/07/2008 09:05

What an absolute arsehole sportscandy, both to do that to do and put you in that position.

Good suggestion btw Bette Noire!

WeeBesom · 21/07/2008 09:19

I would tell my sister, I couldn't not tell her as I would be worried that he would try it again with someone else and I would want to know if it was me.

A boyfriend of my sisters once wrote me a letter declaring his love for me and I felt I had to tell her (after much deliberation), of course she was upset but at least then she could see what a shit he was.

littlewoman · 21/07/2008 10:08

Ooh, nasty one. This happened to me after I split up with XH. I wasn't groped, he just propositioned me and I said no.

I didn't tell my sister. Couldn't bear the thought of bringing that kind of news to her door.

sportscandy · 21/07/2008 20:13

Thanks everyone, I have decided not to tell my sister, it would cause too much trouble. I think he is having a mid life crisis, and I got caught in the cross fire! Will def do as Bette suggested tho! It's a real shame all round this has happened, I will feel weird around him all the time, and I won't be able to stay there over night anymore.

Sportscandy, he is probably severely embarrassed. I doubt he will repeat the episode, so you'll probably be safe to stay there in future, when you feel ready.
