This isn’t really a single parent issue, but it bought it out for me. My dear DC17 recently diagnosed unpredictable health condition. At best it will ‘go away’ at worst it would be v debilitating.

Struggling to cope - they don’t want anyone to know and am so sorry for them but also not sure what to expect. It's one of those times a supportive partner & cup of tea could lift me from despair to worry. Can anyone relate?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes - already got 2 chronic conditions and in the process of investigations for a third which will involve intensive regular treatment. Also 17’ it’s tough

Yes, 19 year old son diagnosed with Epilepsy last Nov (on his 19th Birthday!) It is so hard, for them primarily dealing with unpredictable, meds, Dr’s, wanting to do what his friends do. I sit and worry but his dad is around to bounce things off of. Not the same as having support ‘in house’ though.

I wish you and your son well at what is a very difficult time!

Thanks so much both for replying. @LeoTimmyamdVi @Linguist1979 sorry yo hear what you have had to deal with

3.5 weeks in think am a bit in denial. It came from nowhere. The degrees of severity are so wide it’s making me v anxious, along with unpredictability. Fighting my mind which goes to worst case. Have stopped scrolling the internet. I don’t think DC is thinking much about it, being guided by him.
