Should I be saying something

My ex and dad of our 2 children didn't enjoy being a dad and that was the root of our problems 9 years ago. For 3 years, up until this time last year, he seemed more interested in them. He sought a court order from the beginning and for 3 years started showing up, being a good dad. Attending parents evenings, shows, we did joint birthdays with the kids, he video called them/called their Alexa's every other day. He would send me photos of them on holiday, days out, vice Vera and communication between us was brilliant.

Since this time last year he went from obe relationship to the one he is in now. Over the past year he was sloped off, brings them back an hour early on a Sunday, hasn't been to anything since July last year for the kids, no longer calls them and keeps saying he is working/his parents are away so he can't get child care. This weekend he should have the kids for 2 hours for fathers day, but we have always done half a day or more. This year nothing, not a mention and no contact with the kids.

Now I love having our kids more but he is no where near the dad he was a year ago. He seems uninterested, goes a whole week sometimes without speaking to them. I tried to talk to him a while ago and he shot me down. I feel like he has been like this since this new relationship started but this is on him not the person he is with.

What do I do?, I show up for my kids for everything and they now notice he isn't showing up for them like he should.

You can’t parent for him. Don’t lie for him either. You do you. The rest is his shit. Be upfront with you kids and when they ask. Say « I don’t know either darling, what do you think. You can try asking him. »
