I have recently split with the father of my 2 year old and we have stayed in Braintree where I have lived since my little girl was born. I originally moved up from Sussex where all my family and friends are but now I cannot decide where is best to be. My ex is making life very difficult up here but I have a lovely circle of friends but unfortunately most of them are wrapped up in their families at weekends and this is when I get very lonely. If I move back down to Sussex living costs will be far more expensive and also theres not much near my family for children. I am now wondering whether I could find somewhere in between Essex and Sussex, I don't drive so am looking ideally for a place where shops, healthcare etc are good and easily accessible. Any ideas anyone?

don't take that as gospal, I have a 2 bed and HB is only £625, think it depends on the council, mines paid fortnightly as well, which means I am about £90 short every month depending on how my money falls.

davidtennantsmistress · 22/06/2008 16:35

ah sorry didn't click on the link - will take myself somewhere else¬!

thanks ever so much for finding that out for me! My rent is currently £625 up here in Braintree so wasn't too sure what the allowances were down there but thought it must be more as property prices etc higher!

Horsham is full of middle class people who read the Daily Mail and drive 4x4s. Be warned.
