Hi. New to Mumsnet but want to say it has been great reading through all the talk. Made me realise there really are other people out there going through the same stuff and you are all so fantastically supportive
I suspect being single now for 18 months doesn't quite make me a new lone parent (dd 9 and ds 7) but only just beginning to accept what a difference it does make. Essentially when exP left didn't make any practical difference as he didn't do much. Its only as I come out of emotional fog of it all I'm beginning to realise what it means. Still, good to know that you are all out there and look forward to getting to know you all

Blimey that is recent. I'm impressed that you found this so quick! Think I might have been trying to prove to the world that I could cope and it didn't matter.....

18 months is still a relatively new split. I was mental for at least 2 1/2 years after it all . Hope you're coping okay Queenyeye. Welcome to MN.
