My child, 12, asked her dad if she can come to his one day this weekend
The answer was no because he's not feeling very well
It's always no when he's not feeling very well
Meanwhile I don't get a choice. If I felt unwell I'd still be here with her wouldn't I
If I feel depressed I'm still here with her
If she's kicking off it's always with me and I always have to deal with it
I don't have a choice
But apparently he can just say no can't have you sorry but I miss you and love you. And then when it comes to writing something in school about who you're proud of it's always daddy.
Daddy who doesn't have to deal with any of the shit that comes with the day to day HARD parenting.
And yeah it hurts a bit that one

And it's not even that he's bad when he's with her. They've got a good relationship. But he doesn't have any of the shit to deal with does he

I get that its not good. But surely you wouldnt want your daughter catching it. Better to prevent it. Im a single parent. No dad in the picture. Just have to get on.

It's just a cold. She's got an ever so slight sniffly nose anyway. No I'm not one that stops going over when people have colds.
