I’ve recently split from my 3-year old’s dad, it’s been a protracted break up with lots of back and forth but we’re finally settled in separate homes. He has her Tuesday and Friday nights/some of Saturday, which is working for us (for now).
My problem is I don’t know anyone in my situation. I have child-free friends, and friends with kids who in relationships, but no single mum friends, so at weekends especially everyone’s either doing things as a family or things that I can’t bring a 3-year old along to.
How do I find other single parent friends?! Especially women/queer men, I need some space from straight men at the moment! Are there meet ups? There must be a percentage of single parents at the playground etc but I don’t want to quiz everyone on their relationship status as an opener.
