I’ll try and keep it brief.
Ex has 3 kids all different mums, still with 3rd child mum.

When I asked if he could help in the summer holidays I got told ‘not really, it’s my busy time at work’ asked if he’d take the kids away for a weekend - no too expensive.

He went on a long haul holiday in April which was for a wedding of a friend of his partner so sucked that up (eventually) that was before I’d mentioned summer.

Since I asked he’s been to visit family miles away which included petrol, hotel, food and drinks - my child could have gone to see their family but wasn’t invited.

They’ve now gone abroad to visit his gf sibling who has just moved there and again not taken the other two kids. Again I know they’re not related but it’s more the ‘I can’t take any time off work and the no money for a cheap uk weekend away.

I feel so bad for my child and also so bloody angry like he’s mugged us both off!!

Am I being silly?

Well you're being silly to expect anything else from someone who is so casual about creating kids. Doesn't stop him being the dick he's clearly always been though.

This is so true

Chuck him out of your mind OP.

He's a dick. He'll come crashing down one day.

Just make the best life for you and your child. I did.

Not easy but better than that. Your child will thank you one day as a grown up.

I wouldn’t ask him for any help , you will only get annoyed . If you take away your expectations then it stops you getting disappointed and angry time after time .
