Empty Nesters

Are there any single empty nesters who find it difficult to make new friends? I’m 52 with older children and I have a long term condition which which meant over the years I have lost friends when I have had to cancel plans. I’d like to join online chats etc, but don’t know where to look. I don’t want online dating , I’m happy single. Any suggestions please?

It depends on what you like to do, really. My town has a women’s group that’s mostly older women, 50s and up I’d say. It’s very active and they do all sorts!

I’m younger so I ended up looking for groups based on what I like to do. I attend a book club, a walking group and occasionally crafts too.

Local churches are also good options, it doesn’t have to be uber religious.
