Hi All,
I had my child maintenance annual review last month and it was decided that payments should remain the same for another year. On Saturday, I woke up to an email from CMS saying my ex had requested a reconsideration.
I logged on to find that he's asking for a reconsideration of the annual review based on change of income. I assumed that CMS would automatically check his income via HMRC before approving the review. Is this not the case?
I dont know whether he think he earned less last year than CMS are saying or whether he's saying his circumstances have changed since the review. If that was the case, wouldn't he have just reported a change, rather than requesting a reconsideration of the annual review? I have no way of knowing if he's still working at the same place as we have no contact.
Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I know I shouldn't rely on the money but I'm going to be extremely stretched if he stops paying. I'm really worried.
