My mum has a lot of sleepovers, and they stay in the same bed!

Ok, there's a new man on my life and as the things are getting quite serious we have been agonising about how to tell our respective children that we have found someone else.

Our children get on sooooooo well that yesterday his children (8 and 6) invited mine (5) around for a sleep over.

his children: Can K stay here for sleepover.
Me: yes, he can
his children: are you staying too?[they both smile with that ear to ear smile they use when they want an ice cream]pleaaase???
Me: Well, I don't know...
My child: No, sleepovers are just for boys! you have to go home!
his children: you can stay! really! my mum has a lots of sleepovers, with N, and they sleep in the same bed!!!

Obviously his children are ready to be told, can't say the same about mine but I wonder if I am ready for my child and his to discuss my "sleepovers" with visits

Anyways, how do you told your children when you got a new man? mine has not really registered his parents are not longer together, although he doesn't seem to have fantasies about getting us together again.

Stop the fantasies at root source otherwise it will be a shock for him/her.

Move slowly and proceed with caution which you seem to be doing and all will be well. I guess it will be when you eel it is ok.
