Single parent tips

I have primary age children so not in the trenches with toddlers. But I still find home life completely overwhelming on my own. Ex h doesn’t live nearby.

Any tips for having a calm, organised single parent household??

Anything you do to stay on top of things?

For us it's all in the preparation. Laying out clothes and doing lunches the night before, making sure the children do some jobs too etc. But also as a single parent there's always too much to do and the risk is not spending time with the children, so even when the hoovering isn't done I try to make very regular time for stories, board games and bike rides/walks together. It keeps things calmer when everyone's exercised!
