Am not looking forward to it, last week we all went out together, which was actually a nice day. I prefer to be there as he's such an alkie I can't trust him not to take her out with his 'friends', drink and then drive her back. Do I have the right to ask him exactly what he's planning for the day with her. Surely, as her mum, I do? She's only 11 months old.

Bloody hell of course you do - and if - as you say - he drinks then drives her you have the right to not let him take her out.

If your dd can't rely on her df to look after her and keep her safe then it's up to you.

Can you go too and drive or ensure he doesn't drink ??

Has he got a court order? Because Amfay if he hasn't, make him go and prove he is sober and will stay that way, given his track-record (I take it he has got one) before you hand her over. She is 11 months, you have to protect her and an alcoholic puts the drink first, not a child's safety. My Dad was an alcoholic - enough said.
