Hi, this is a long story but wil try to make it short as poss. I have a child whos 4 and we live alone. The father is not in the picture. My ex (before childs dad) used to hassle me this was 5 years ago. He is violent, has comitted crimes such a fraud. He has now contacted me via an internet site he made a fake acc under a relatives name using photos etc so i believe it was family and found out it was him, hes threatening sayin he knows where i live, knows i have a child and is pi**ed of with me, basically scarying the crap outa me!! He has been in prison for the past 4 years for attmepted murder which is why i havnt heard from him, but now he is out and supposedly found not guilty.

I have taken it all to the police and made statements, but i want to find out any info on if i can move house, im in a council flat at the momment but hate living here knowing he knows where i am with my child I also want any advise on if i can get a court injunction and how i go about doing it all??

Thankyou

What did the police tell you? Were the threats made in writing?
If the police arn't taking any action you need to see a solicitor about getting an injunction. They will usually see you for free for the first appointment. If you're on IS you would be entitled to legal aid after that.
I've got no idea about moving house sorry - maybe ask the council or citizens advice about that. Hope you're ok - sounds scarey.

Hi thankyou for replying,

The threats were made over the internet and i have saved them all. The police basically said they will have a word with him as he should be easy enough to find as hes well known to them, then if he carrys on harrasing me he'l be arrested.

So just waiting now to see what happens really but its horrible, im scared to leave my house but i have to to take my child to nursery and obviously for food shopping etc.

I shouldnt have to live like this,...im looking in to moving and am trying to get intouch with my tenancy officer,..but unfortunelty she doesnt want to know!!

Thanks for advise about solicitors, i think im going to book an app and get this sorted asap.

Thanks
