Hi

me and my husband are separated, we had a family based arrangement where he paid me without the need of using cms. We separated when I was pregnant with my youngest baby and so when he was born I asked for a little bit more each month (£25) and he refused so I checked the cms calculator and it estimated I was actually entitled to a bit more than what we had agreed between ourselves so I applied. The application has gone through and they have done all their calculations etc and I’m a little confused, it says I’m entitled to £67.04 per week £239.50 per month. I’ve done all kinds of different calculations myself and I can’t work out how they have got £239.50 per month from £67.04 per week! Is there anyone on here who claims cms who could possibly help me understand how they do their calculations when receiving the money monthly? I’ve tried contacting cms directly but I can not get through no matter what time of day I call them. Thanks in advance

I have never worked out how they come
to their amounts and I spent years on the phone to them. Sadly the system is broken beyond repair. Stay on the phone is all I can say, you’ll get an answer eventually.
