Wondering if anyone has any advice. Kids dad was abusive while I was with him. We been separated 5 years now. Together 12 years before that. Kids aged 11 and 13 have contact every other weekend for last 4 years as set out in court order. My son age 11 begs not to visit for about last 4 months. It also makes me remeber the past abuse but it was over 5 years ago now. Some dating back up to about 16 years ago. I want to come forward to police about my experiences but I'm not sure how it will affect the kids and if they need to have contact despitey son not wanting to go no more. I'm wondering if it's the right thing to do being historic abuse to. I can't move forward in life with it hanging over me but I feel confused as he obviously has been fine for aa while now since we haven't been together. Has anyone got advice on all of this please.
