Why does he still lie?

hi,

We are separated. Why does ex have to still lie? He lies about working away (AKA seeing the o.w).
he was supposed to have our child this weekend but says he has car trouble.

I find it daft that he’s left me and still feels he needs to lie! I found out about the o.w. He didn’t tell me!

he always lied about stuff saying he was in a meeting/on a call throughout our marriage but i just wonder why he still does it?

do people lie to themselves?
is he still worried I care where he is?

Because he's so used to lying it's second nature now.

Well at least he lies my ex just wouldn't show up and wouldn't even make an excuse just wouldn't hear from him think I would prefer he even bothered to make up a lie 😂

It’s not something he does, it’s who he is. Always was and always will be.

Second nature, when you spent your entire life lying it becomes normal. My ExH does the same.. most bizarre! Like you I couldn't give a fig but he still continues to lie 🤷🏼‍♀️
