Indirect contact

My 10 year old used to see their Dad lots, but they have a lot of additional needs that weren't being supported. It's a very complicated story, but this eventually led to them refusing contact and they have been removed from the court order (their sibling still goes as usual).

There has been no direct contact for almost a year now. Videocalls were regular but then these stopped when ex said some really horrendous things to our child. Social services helped to try and restart the calls, but that also broke down. There's been only a couple of calls this year which have been a bit better but still a lot of emotional pressure (ex was abusive to me so has a history of this sort of things).

Ex is now pushing for text and email contact. Our child isn't sure if they want this and don't currently have a phone anyway. Any advice on how to navigate this?
