Hello there. That was it really!
I used mumsnet a lot when I was going through the break up of my marriage. It was a real life line for me. Been off line for months and have only just managed to sort it all out.

Anyway, Ive just rejoined and am now a lone parent. So thought I would say a quick hello.

Okay thanks. I think. Its been a hard long year(it has been going on a while)but feel like life is good again. Im actually enjoying being on my own bringing up my girls. Never thought id hear myself say that. It is tough at times too though. That one of the reasons mumsnet is so good. Are you on your own?

Hi Millyk yes I am on my own with 2DS (13 & 10) I enjoy it alot less stressful in some ways but I came from an abusive relationship. Its hard money wise but my boys are happier.

Hi Millyk, IKWYM about enjoying it more on your own. I know I certainly do with my 2 boys. Everything seems a lot calmer, less running around and can just get up and go out whenever we like. I'm having much more fun with them now.

And you can sit on mumsnet all evening with a glass of wine, watching eastenders, without doing the washing up first, without anyone tutting in your ear!

lol! But that's another thing, I used to hate doing the washing up & always used to leave it til there was quite a bit there, now though, I don't mind doing it & wash up at least twice a day, even though there's less to do!
