Lone parents

A self pitying moan

I am a lone parent. My ds does not see his father at all. I work a very busy corporate job and thus I save family babysitting favours for work travel and events.
The last time I went out at night without my child not for work purposes was oct 2022. On Friday night I arranged for my mum to come round so I could go out to dinner with a friend. We got to the restaurant and all if a sudden I went terrifically hot, sweaty and faint. We hadn't eaten yet so it wasn't the food that caused it and i had only drank lemonade . I asked her if we could leave straight away. I ended up walking to the cash point as the restaurant said their card system was down and I was sick on the way back to the restaurant. My friend managed to eat most of her food and I asked for mine to be packaged up. We arrived home 50 minutes after we left. I felt dreadful for the next 24 hours.
I am now feeling really frustrated that I so rarely get to go out child free and when I do I get sick and we have to abandon the night and then have to parent alone whilst feeling awful.
Anyone else seem to have no luck?
