Courage doesn't always roar....

"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow'."

I just wanted to share this quote with you. It made me cry. Sometimes I think I'm crap because there is always so much housework left undone, or I've not woken up to get the kids to school on time, I run out of electric... whatever, whatever. I spend my whole time feeling bad about the things I didn't do, rather than being glad for the things I did manage to do today.
And I can always 'try again tomorrow'.

AI totaly agree with you! Courage is being able to go on, taking care of the kids, helping them with the school, having a job, almost always forgetting about ourselves. I think we wemen are very brave indeed!!

Janos · 27/03/2008 22:40

Lovely quote

littlewoman · 27/03/2008 22:48

I agree; women are very brave, as are all people who constantly try in the face of adversity.

Thanks I really like. I am going to print it off and put it in my new note book. I am going to fill it with inspriational stuff like this, along with drawings from the kids, photos, recipies etc. All nice stuff .

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2008 23:42

oh maybe i#ll try amd remember that one

littlewoman · 27/03/2008 23:57

Sounds good Scramble. I'd love to have a go at scrapbooking with this sort of stuff. It would turn out more 'crapbooking', I suspect. Not creative at all

Its not going to be a fancy crafty scrap book just a note book. I have done proper scrap books for birthday presents, but I want this just to be a personel note book. With things that make me smile could be anything from a pic of a handbag in a magazine to a foreign postage stamp or a sugar sachet from a place where I have had a nice lucnh and notes and quotes.

Just have to find a nice notebook I like.

LBA · 28/03/2008 00:34

Lovely, that will be one for my little book.

My neighbour last night sent me a text about being a great mother (because she knew dd was poorly) and I nearly sobbed!

Scramble · 28/03/2008 00:36

Ooh what else do tou put in your little book?

littlewoman · 28/03/2008 00:40

I want a book!! I have a whole fridge magnet thing going on, but they drop off and fall in the dog's bowl and get kicked under the fridge. ( I AIN'T going under there to retrieve them ).
A book is a lovely idea, it would kind of tell the story of your life in a strange way.

I used to keep a scrap book years ago pre kids, but it was mostly newspaper cuttings, this one is going to be a positve thing.

I have found a A$ pukka pad with sections so I think I will start right now and write that on the front page.

allgonebellyup · 28/03/2008 11:49

lol at crapbooking

OverMyDeadBody · 28/03/2008 11:53

lw that's a great quote.

Scramble I lie your odea. I've always meant to do something like that but it never actually becomes a reality...

MascaraOHara · 28/03/2008 11:57

I love that quote and the idea os a 'special things' notebook.. MoH nicks idea quite blatently.

I need something like that to look at when I'm feeling a bit down or lonely

Scramble · 29/03/2008 22:48

My note book is statrted, I have used the big pukka pad as it has sections, the front bit will be for stuff like that. but having sections for decorating ideas, days out, walks and other info that I want to keep.

I just wrote in it " I am a wonderful mum!"
and "secret admirers are good for the ego .

littlewoman · 01/04/2008 01:40

Well done Scramble. 'I am a wonderful mum' ... nice to see some positives on here now and again .
I was going to say all admirers are good for the ego but that's not true, after thinking about it for a little while, so I won't lol.
