I was informed by the child maintenance service that a deduction of earnings order was set up a few days ago and that I should receive my first payment in 2 months. Does this mean that the cms already contacted the nrp employer and the deo is already completely set up or does it mean that cms has contacted the nrp employer and gave instructions for a deo to be set up and now the employer needs to reply? I guess I’m asking this because I’m wondering whether my child’s father is still working for the same employer and if he isn’t whether the employer would have to inform cms when asked to set up the deo?
