Single mom house share

Hi 😊 i am a friendly 36 year old mom with a 4 year old little girl who is starting school in September.
We live in a house in Ipswich. It is a 4 bedroom house. My ex moved out, is not paying the mortgage and just refused to accept an offer on a sale as I am not accepting his demands.
So I will stay in the house, but might have to take in some people to share the house with ….instead of getting someone from spareroom
i think it would be so nice to find another single mom who would like to move in with us.. so we share the cost and we can help each other. I would like to find a friend for myself and for my daughter.
If anyone is interested, and just wants to chat about it, please send me a message.

have you sought legal advice?

Anamor87 · 21/02/2024 17:11

thank you for your reply.
No I haven’t. I don’t think I can afford a solicitor and don’t think I am eligible for legal aid.
Maybe I should have some kind of initial conversation to see what my options are…..

You need to speak to a solicitor ASAP before moving anybody else in really.

he only said he will not accept the offer yesterday.
i haven’t even told the estate agents yet ….
no, ex partner. My daughter’s father.
he moved out in June, since then I am managing .
he pays child maintenance but feels he does not have to pay half of the mortgage as it is as if I was paying rent somewhere anyway. There is no reasoning with him. He is always “right “. I don’t have the strength to fight him.

Hello,

I know it’s a long shot but do you happen to have any room still available or open to Co sharing with a single parent?
