How do you cope with doing all the cleaning, cooking, gardening, decorating and never getting a lie in?

Does any kind of parenting ever become second nature? I just think I've got the whole thing sorted when something changes and I have to start all over again!

I have never shared parenting but even so feeling comfortable as the person in charge of absolutely everything didn't happen the moment ds was born. It has taken a long time and still isn't easy. But it is fun (mostly).

I muddle through, every single day. Some days I feel I've been a good mum, but most of the time not. I tend to concentrate on the kids and do the house stuff as and when it drives me bonkers (I've got 6 kids). It is very hard. But what choice do we have? Couldn't live with leaving them, so just plod on, one day at a time.

You'll cope. We all cope. Good days, bad days and effing awful days. You will cope because we have to.

But dont expect everything on your list to be done. In the week I work, Sundays are usually reserved for cleaning the house, although if I do the garden, the house will be a tip for another week. If I decorate, the house and garden will be a tip for as long as it takes. It drives me mad, but its just not possible to do it all at once.
