Universal credit question

Hello everyone,

I have recently applied for universal credit and first payment received this week. My last months salary included some backpay so will get less this month plus the tax deduction higher (went back to work in August)

Question, will the actual income be reviewed every month and UC adjusted accordingly?

Many thanks,
TIA

Hi yes it is adjusted each month, I think over a certain amount just over 50% of the wage is taken away from your 'allowance' so it probably won't be as much with both the UC and wage added together.

Yes they deduct 55p out of every pound out of your entitlement every month. They must get pay from hmrc as they know how much you earn each month

If u get the housing element of UC they disregard the first £379 of your income after that they reduce your UC by 55p for every £1 u earn. If you don't get housing element they disregard the first £632 of your income then reduce by 55p every £1. HMRC will tell UC your take home pay.
