some deep breathing exercises for yourself shelleylou! you poor things! cant think of anything else, especially if his nose is blocked he'll find it hard to relax to sleep. hope it isn't too long a night for you...

what is keeping him awake? If he has an ear infection then those become far more painful if you lie down, so proping him up slightly might help him get some rest. I think the guidelines say it's children under 12 months that shouldn't have a pillow, but i can't recall off hand sorry.

If it's a cough or blocked nose then speak to your chemist about what they suggest, i tend to use vicks vapour rub for helping my son breath more easily at night.

Also if you're giving him Calpol don't give it at the same time as juice/water/milk/ It will dilute it and it'll take longer to work. So wait a little while to give it time to be absorbed. Plenty of fluids is important though.

Hope you got some sleep if not much rest
Take care
Gilly

Hes got a chest infection so propped him up and done all the usual. He had them at different times to the calpol. Ive got snuffle babe in so had used that. He fell sleep at 12 and then just woke n fell back of a few times. Thanks

prop yourself up, halfway between lying & sitting, and lie him on your tummy/chest till he drops off, then put him down for the night. That's what worked for me.
