Would love some advice

Hi all, would love some advice with this. I have a 6 year old daughter and her dad and I separated before she was 1. He moved back to Ireland where he is from and we are in the UK. She sees him a couple times of year and they talk regularly on the phone. She has been really missing him recently, it comes up most days and can lead to tears and wishing he was here. Its heartbreaking, my parents separated when I was 9 so I can understand.

I'm just trying to think if there are any ways I can help her when she feels like this. I feel there has got to me something/more I can do to help as like I said, it's most days at the moment. I have suggested writing/drawing a picture or card to send to daddy but she says this will make her miss him more. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated

Does she always know when she’s going to see him next, so she has something to look forward to?

Awww really tricky. Has your DD always had a good relationship with her dad? Can they facetime weekly? What are your finances like OP? There are 13 weeks a year could your DD go to Ireland more often?
