Feeling lonely

Does anyone else have random moments where they become suddenly melancholy? I get them and I think it stems from feeling as though I don’t have anyone to talk to really. I love my son obviously and he’s great, but I oftentimes find myself alone without another adult to talk to, whether that’s because of work, or looking after DS

Yes. It's very hard sometimes. Not much helpful to add but yes it is really lonely sometimes. I think married friends have no understanding of how much I am alone. If they did, I think it would help I have people over lots but that is tiring also.

Yes, I do. This weekend is the first weekend of my boy going to his dads (Fri-Sun).
Last night was a bit of a novelty and not too bad. Fast forward to now, I’ve spent the last few hours crying, sitting on the sofa with no energy or motivation to move.
I’ve worked from home a couple of days this week and on one day, the only other adults I spoke to were the school staff at breakfast club drop off and after school pick up - and that was only a ‘hello, thank you, goodbye’.
