I know I could google it but it's better to ask those who have actually been through the process

Feckless ex has lost his job

He did however get a payout , quite a bit from his boasting. He got £30k from me in the divorce too but not sure how much is left. He is also renting out his house.

So will they take into account savings and anything made from the house rental?

Currently he is not paying me a single penny .

CMS is only applicable to income. If he declares rental profits as income, they’d count; otherwise no.

Redundancy pay and savings don’t count towards CMS.

If he signs up for unemployment benefits, he would have to pay a very small amount out of these.

If he gets universal credit its thirty pounds a month however he would need to declare savings and house etc which means he won't get it because he has too much

His rental income should be taken into account as long as he is declaring it if he isnt HMRC are usually very keen to learn more about undeclared income
