Reporting non-payment of maintenence

My ex partner has stopped paying maintenence because he says he isn't in work.

Last month I had a letter from CMS saying they'd viewed his reconsideration request and that there wasn't enough evidence.

I asked him about it, and he begrudgingly paid the August payment.

He is refusing to pay September because he apparently has no money.

I've been onto the online portal and it has a link to report a missing payment, but it just takes me to a page saying that I can switch to collect and pay.
I don't want to do this, I just want them to chase him for the payment.

A friend said she doesn't think they will chase him unless I'm on collect and pay.

I'll ring them on Monday, but in the meantime, does anyone have any advice?
Oh, I also discovered he's been underpaying by around £10 a month

Tia!

You will have to go onto collection for them to chase. Maybe tell him that you are considering this and it will cost him 20% more if you do. If he’s not working surely he’s claiming benefits and should be evidence that? Depending on how often he had your children he should still be paying.

Thanks for the reply!

Only one of the 4 kids stays with him overnight at the moment. Up until this summer none of them did.

This is what I don't understand... if he's genuinely not working then how hard can it be to prove to them? It's very weird.

I've requested to switch to collect and pay but it's not due to be completed until Mid-november 😳
