One of my workmates texted me saying 'bad news about....' so I rang her cos I didn't have a clue what she was on about. Turns out one of my colleagues who I sit next to in the office collapsed and died at work on friday morning. He was 64. Am angry cos I rang work friday lunchtime to let them know Id had all clear from doctor after stomach bug (work in a bakery) and everyone I spoke to on the phone were acting odd. The receptionist didn't tell me my manager wasnt in and put me through to someone else in my dept who told me my manager had gone out urgently and not to ring him on his mobile. Then HR told me he'd gone out cos there had been an incident. Am extremely angry that nobody bothered to ring me and tell me. Apparently HR sent an email saying not to ring me, to tell me when I arrived in work tomorrow. Like that wouldn't upset me. Don't want to go into my office cos it's where it happened and unfortunately I work with 20 odd blokes and am the only girl so won't expect much understanding.

Sorry bit of an off topic rant

Birky, god that is awful poor fella and his family.
On the other hand how dare they decide what to tell you, surely you needed to no earlier so that you can start to come to terms with things.
TC, and strong vibes for tomorrow.
