Child arrangements

I'm after some advice, as I have DC almost aged 12 and 6 (few months time). DS12 is just about to start secondary school, and DD6 is in a primary school about 20mins away. My ex lives about 10mins walk from the secondary school, and works next to the primary school.

I tend to commute, and we broadly parallel parent (I took her to court, very acrimonious and it went heavily in my favour, and she's bitter as a result).

Our CAO was about 3yrs ago, so the situation has entirely changed because of the schools and her now working near the primary school. Naturally, she wants to alter our existing CAO which was eo friday to Mon, and every Thurs, to something simpler. We dropped to every Thurs and eo Fri to sat, under advice from a social worker, because both DC were struggling (I have my own views that are irrelevant on this!) and it seemed to settle.

The ex is now resistant to any weekdays, and is suggesting eo Sun, which DD12 seems to be happy with (I feel he's been "swayed") and suddenly neither want overnights.

Has anyone experienced an eo sun arrangement, and does it work?

Realistically, the ex is right in that collecting both DC from school is easier for her, and harder for me, but I feel sat/sun could be a better option as a minimum?

My worry is DD6, as I really don't want to lose a close relationship I've formed with her, so I'm worried it's just my insecurity about that!

I feel Friday to Sun would work wow, and half of the holidays I would take her to court again.
