Difficult ex - anyone feel like walking away

Difficult ex. Left him when DD was 4. She’s now 12 and he hasn’t changed. Constantly being awkward and wanting everything his own way. My best friend has given me some money to try to iron out all the loose ends surrounding our child arrangements order with a solicitor and he’s playing games, stalling, delaying and being self important.
It’s going to cost a fortune and he knows it. To change our child arrangement order will cost £5k in court which I don’t have. I was hoping by getting a solicitor he would have to take notice but he’s just taking the p*ss. I’m just completely worn down by his controlling nature and game playing. Anyone ever feel like just walking away?

I did.
After years of him messing DS around and having him wonder why his Dad wasn't turning up for him yet again, I finally lost my patience and told him not to bother again.
He didn't. It's been two years and nothing. He doesn't know where we live anymore as we moved last year and we've all never been happier.

Hope things work out for you 💐
