Feeling so isolated

My nearly 14yo son is being a git.
He's come home with acrylic paint all over his uniform (trousers, shirt, blazer).
I lost my temper.

I was already late for an evening out because I agreed to pick him up from being out with his friends. I was fine to do that, it's just an informal meet up.

Now he's said he doesn't want to come to see family overnight tomorrow. Wants to stay at home. He'll be miserable and spoil the w/e. It's a flat no to being home alone.

So, now I'm upset. I've got no support. I've called off going to meet my friends as I just want to cry.

The teenage years can be the worst! Sorry you are having to deal with it all alone. Could he not stay at a mates house & you still see friends? Maybe some space away from each other would give you a much needed break.
Mine is finally improving now he’s into young adult years. Hang on in there, you’ll get through this Flowers

Thank you so much for replying.
He is trying to see if he can stay with friends tomorrow night. I was too wound up to go out this evening, and I think it would not help our relationship if I stomped out tonight.

I have an adult son who was a pretty easy teenager so this is new to me.
