Grin im always like that! whats he done to annoy you, or is the usual charm that majority of exp's seem to have?

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 05/12/2004 20:54

Glad its not just me thenSmile
I asked him to come round today to look after DD for 2 hours so I could go shopping for her xmas presents....when I came back he has totally blocked my sink and half flooded the kitchenAngry
When I asked him what he'd been doing he said "soaking my feet they were sore" FFS!!!
So I then said why have you not tried to unblock the sink cos its spilling on to the floor....he said "Its really hard trying to do things when you have to look after dd aswell"
Oh really like I hadn't noticed since I am on my own with her everyday!!!
So have just spent the last hour unblocking the sink and mopping up the kitchen while he sat watching me and playing with DD..
AAARRGGGHHHH.... sorry rant over...thanks for listening!! Smile
How are you?

lol, u should have made him do it! Im ok, just had my exp having a rant although not over me. I wasnt particularly listening though Grin Had put up my Christmas tree last night, and dd has successfully got bits of tinsel all over my lounge carpet which i cant hoover til tomorrow morning as itll wake her up! lol, has your exp left then? feeling better?

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 05/12/2004 21:16

I was kinda hoping that he was going to offer cos I was really struggling but it was obvious that he wasn't going to and I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of asking!!!Wink But he is away now, so feeling much better munching on a large bag of crispsGrin
Oooohh have you got your christmas tree up I'm so jealous, I'm hoping to get mine up tomorrow, cos I think I will have to take a day off work cos DD has woken up this morning with conjunctivitis.
I saw on another thread you got one of the jobs you went for an interview for...when do you start?

aww bless ur dd. hope she gets better soon. start on jan 4th. bit nervous though. havent worked for 2yrs literally. last day of work was 13 dec 02 as it was 2 days before i had dd

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 05/12/2004 21:40

DD is fine really, just her eye is red and a bit gungey, but she will have to stay off nursery.
I was exactly the same as you, I didn't go back to work until my DD was 2 aswell, and i was at uni when i became pregnant so hadn't really properly worked at allBlushjust during summer holidays and weekends. Can't believe you worked right up until 2 days before you had your DD very impressiveGrin
I was really nervous too, but it worked out really well, DD loves going to nursery and obviously the extra money comes in handy. Have you been to see the lone parent advisor at your local jobcentre? I found then really helpful and he told me about all the extra benefits I would be entitled to, and fast tracked my working families tax credit aplication for me. (sorry if you have already done all this)
Good luck for when you start anywaySmile
