hiya just have a wee question... this prob sounds terrible but here goes.
im getting married in june and was wonderin if i can still claim to b a single parent or wud the bru office kno (dhss)???? thanx for any replies. saz xxx

There are LOADS of single (genuinely) parents on here struggling to keep enough money in the purse to FEED themselves.

What you are hoping to do is FRAUD and I hope that if you do it, someone shops you.

I don't understand how two parent families cannot manage on either two peoples wage or one and tax credits, it can be flipping hard yues, but have been a single parent and it's a lot harder.
Either go to work or claim tax credits.
Jeez.

You right it does sound terrible. what you would be claiming illegally would help no end of other single parents. I know people do commit benefit fraud but to openly adverise it on here!!! Are you insane??

but alas, I am kept struggling to feed my son on £30 a week whilst she screws the system and gets away with it

Ha, Lewisfan, I'm sure theres enough info right there, a girl called Sarah? with a 2ish yr old called dylan and a 10 month old called Abi??
Aged 21 from ballyhalbert and about to get married? I'm sure the benefit fraud people could work that out quite quickly, just from the bans she'll have to put up.

Hopefully realising just how easily she could get caught will make her think twice.

I was really angry to read this post. Why did you post this in the lone parents section? Are you assuming that other people claim to be lone parents when they are not post in this part!!

Thi ssection is for real lone parents, who are trying to do their best in very, very difficult circumstances. The media usually portray a negative picture of lone parents, some other women look down on us as they think we may steal their man, som ewomen even look down on me as i dont have the luxuries a two parent family have.

We use this section for support from like minded people. To have a post asking about fraud is outrageous

il start at the beginning, yes this was posted on my user name but was not me. it was r so called friend darren, and i just noticed the msg in my profile page and sorta thought ...ehhh as i havent posted on here in a while!!! im not a single mum and have no need 2 be on the lone parent bit of the site so???i would just like to apologise for this as it is very insensitive! i would just like to say sorry and that i wouuldn't be mockin you single mums as i have plenty of single friends struggling to make ends meet for their kids.again im sorry and really it wasnt me and wud like to think ive made alot of friends on here and wudnt jeprodise that. and by the way i dont claim benefits. i was contemplating deleting my account but y shud i cos then im gonna look suspicious. please everyone accept my apology.

Do you know people like you mean there is less help for those who really need it and more scepticism from those who don't need it.

You give 'single' parents a bad name you really do.. there are many people struggling to raise children on inadequate salaries and/or benefits.. people like you just make it harder for everybody - unfortunately I think people like you are far too common.
