I get that this will be a winge post, but I would really like to know.. ? Any lone parents who have no contact at all with the other parent, completely through thei other parents choice, how do you cope?

I feel my daughter is missing out emotionally, financially and socially...

It's a topic that I feel isn't always discussed, but as a single mother of a daughter whose father decided to cut contact completely, I'm trying to provide everything and hope that my daughter willl be ok as an adult.

There is no getting around the guilt I feel and even if I try to dedicate my time and attention to my daughter, it's not enough..

I hear you!!
I know my children will have a lovely Christmas as that’s what I do, make their life happy and safe and cosy, but the fact their Dad chooses to be no contact lies heavy with me. It doesn’t help that I have no family left either, so it’s really just me and the kids. What also sickens me is he pretends on social media and wider community that he’s a doting father, but the reality is zero - the children have to live with assumptions made by acquaintances that are far from the truth.
I don’t have any answers for you, but you definitely aren’t alone in feeling how you feel.

I must say Xmas is probably the only time I’m grateful he is not around, I would hate to have to share Xmas with him and not see my children for Xmas but I am not close to my family and wouldn’t want to spend it with them so it would mean a day alone, every other day yes it makes me sad how little interest he has in our children (last saw them 2 years ago)
