Going back to FT work guilt?

I am looking for a new job and it looks like everything is either 8 hours or 40 hours and nothing in between..
I am working 20 hours at the moment in a care job but it's draining me and I need to change, I feel guilty thinking of leaving her in nursery all week though if I chose to go back to full time work?
Does this guilt go away?
Also if I'm working full time is there any point as I will be paying so much for childcare?
Any help would be appreciated, Thankyou for reading 💖

Often a job advertised as FT can be flexible if you ask. For example doing four long days so you can work FT or nearly FT but still get a day off in the week with your LO. The larger the employer the more accommodating they're likely to be. Public sector especially so, so perhaps take that into account in your job search.

You might feel more comfortable leaving the little one with a childminder than nursery? And don't forget you get 20% off childcare with the govts tax free childcare scheme, so almost definitely still worth working
