Can someone explain to me how the CMS calculate maintenance??

Can someone please explain it? Maybe i am an idiot or maybe (very likely) they are the inept crackpots with how they calculate it all.

At the end of my tether with it all. How can someone who earns close to 500 a week pay 14 pounds for a whole months maintenance. This was after fighting since april against the nil calculation. To be rejected then go through a whole mandatory recondsideration which got forgotten about until i phoned as usual. I got about 40 last month, thinking that was the start of it all sorting.

I just can't deal with it all anymore and the only times their phone line is open is when i am work all day.

Do I know for definite he earns £500 per week? Also is he self employed by any chance? What does the cms calculator say he should be paying in those figures?

They are allowed to make pension payments before CMS is calculated. So they can make large pension payments at the right time and drop what they need to pay.
