i did write a fathers day card but it never got sent. as some of you will know, my dd's daddy had never seen her (he said he would when she was born but never turned up). i am going to send him a christmas card..not from me...written as if from dd. i thought i could tell him how she's getting on, what she can do now, that it is her birthday soon etc. may be a bad idea but im going to send it anyway. for her, for me. has anyone else done this? curious.

I was thinking of sending an xmas card to my ex. I don't really want to but my mum thinks I should, just to keep in contact until he grows up and stops being such a prat!

Was going to send a photo of ds and tell his dad all the things he's doing now, eating solids, sitting up, rolling over etc. My ex has seen him 3 times, the last time was when he was 6 wks old, he's now 6 months.

thing is, I don't actually know where he lives now! I know where he works but as he hasn't told anyone about his son it might be a bit out of order to send a photo of him to ex's work!

I'm not sure if it's a good idea, if my mum didn't keep going on about it I wouldn't have even thought of doing it. But I suppose it can't really do any harm.

if its what you want to do then id say go for it...so long as it is your choice. as for sending the card to his work, what kind of job is it? if he doesnt work in the office you could perhaps send it to him "c/o" the company and they should pass it on without opening it? (i could say that my company did this without question but then they were a bunch of cowboys so i cant vouch for any other workplace). ps have you tried searching for him on 192.com? or is that something you would prefer not to do?
