Just as the title says really!

I'm a single how mum to a 5 and 2 year old.
I'm finding life abit lonely as I seem to be the i to single parent in my friendship circles. I love to chat to someone who understands if you get me but I don't know where to turn!

I found frolo a bit overwhelming...

Feel free to pm me I'm a single mum although my dc are older than yours. I would also love to make single mum friends. Would be nice to have friends that got it

Heard of the apps but I wouldn’t use them personally they are not my cup of tea, not sure where else you could specifically find single mums friends though 🤔

Has your 5 year old started school yet? You will find mum friends, single or otherwise, when they do start.

I went along to the first PTA event at my sons school to met other mums, as I knew I wouldn't get a chance at the school gate (as I work full-time). Turns out 2 of them were also single mums, plus we had lots in common. I plan to spend more time with them in person once I move house, and I'm nearer to them all.

Have you heard of Peanut? That's another app.

I did meet a lady on there but she was bad with communication and would reply for weeks even though she reached out to me first

Maybe you will have some luck on there

Also Mother and baby groups. I met 4 women there last year and we've become good friends and meet up quite often

Peanut isn’t exclusively for single parents though is it? I think op is saying she has friends but wants single parent ones so they have more understanding of what it’s like

When I was a lone parent I found two other mums from my daughter's class at school. We all help each other out with school drop offs/pick ups, occasional sleepovers, babysitting etc. It's really nice to know that we all 'get it'. Coupled friends offer to help too, but I always feel that the other single mums really understand.

@BiscoffSundae oooooh yes you are right. Although I’m sure they had a single parent option when you fill out your profile so she could filter and find some that way.

also OP could try Gingerbread - single parent charity. I think they have some meet and greet events, dating etc
