Does anybody have any positive experiences of mediation? Or was it awful? How did you deal with the stress of it, both during and afterwards? Did your ex stick to whatever was agreed? I am v interested to hear of any experiences...Thanks

None at all - the only mediation my ex was prepared to go to was to discuss finances (refusing to discuss anything concerning our son). The finance mediation she organised finished in 5 minutes and I later found out that it was organised with the sole purpose of securing her legal aid for the finance hearing.

Thanks anyway lostdad. As I see it mediation might work where you have two basically reasonable people. But where one or both are using it for point scoring then it will lead nowhere.
