What do you do during the evenings?

I'm a single parent to DD who's 2 and I'm feeling increasingly bored of being in night after night, feeling lonely, watching tv and just waiting to go to bed. I used to go to the gym or go out for dinner with friends, obviously I'm rarely able to do those things now. Just wondered if anyone has any more exciting ways they spend their time in the evening?

Browse MN mainly . I don’t go out as no one to watch my children. Haven’t had a night out in 5 years

Mostly TV or read or SM. When summer comes go out into garden

Why not do a YouTube gym or Pilates class. Lots of stuff online. I have an App I use.

I’d Zoom some fiends and have a glass of wine together.

If I’m REALLY bored I do a cupboard audit and sort out the ‘stuff’ pile!

Read, read, read

Lesson plan (teacher)

Brush / fuss over the cat

Puzzles (must be Ravensburger)

Wander aimlessly tidying

Play animal crossing

Something like others suggest above.

Self improvement stuff like gym, Pilates DuoLingo. Set small goals, achieve them and then set new goals. I work in three month segments

Find some volunteer work that can be done in evening?

Research something you are really interested in. Go down some Internet Rabbit Holes!

Baking/batch cooking while watching Netflix or listening to a really good podcast or story on Audible

Sort out photos on phone and make/order photo album off one of those websites

Make something like a bag/purse by Sewing/knitting etc.

Decorate the house!

Write a short book

Find something crafty you may enjoy. Painting/mosaic/woodwork etc.
