Thinking of going here for my son's 4th birthday. Just me and him for 2 nights. Is it entertaining? Is the splash park good? The theme park won't be open but want to do something fun for him. Anyone been?

I went alone with my 3.5yo in November and we had the best time. Only one night for us, and if the park is closed, I'd say only do one night unless you want two days in the pool.

The pool is amazing! Perfect for a four year old.

The entertainment started around 3pm but was character meets - so took maybe half and hour.

I didn't stay up for the evening entertainment so I can't comment (I'm sure someone else will be along who can) we did the water park and we're too knackered.

There isn't many places to buy food outside of restaurant opening times so take snacks.

Food was great especially the breakfast. Hope you have a great time.

I cant comment on the cbeebies hotel but if it was just me and a 4 year old I would go to one of the Gullivers. They have themed rooms, loads of rides suitable for younger kids and some of them have splash parks as well. That said I also like the Alton Towers water park for younger kids, its a bit boring for older ones.

I'm taking my 4 year old on my own in half term, we've been quite a few times before to both the CBeebies hotel and Splash Landings and there is plenty to do. Water park is great and at 4yrs old your little one can go on a couple of the bigger slides on your knee. On half term mutiny Bay is open and they have entertainment all day and night. When I've been outside of the school holidays the CBeebies hotel has had entertainment all day and evening too, they even have someone reading bedtimes stories. There are outdoor play areas near the hobbit houses. We often just wen for a walk and explore as there is lots to look at. You'll love it I'm sure, just being away together is nice Smile

My 3 and 5 year old absolutely loved the pool couldnt get them out. It is ideal for this age. If the theme park isnt open 2 nights might be too long.

We've taken my 2 year twice now and stayed the Alton towers & splash landing hotel so can't comment on Cbbs however with the park & the water park we had the absolute best time ever!!!! Do you won't regret it!

I've been to the CBeebies hotel in Feb in the snow before and it was fab, plenty to do. Kids like repetition so we saw a few shows twice and went to the CBeebies disco, meet and greets, story hour, wake up morning exercises, water park, outdoor play areas - even in the snow! we saw a show in a different Hotel that was a family entertainer and we also just walked around all the hotel lobbies and outside looking at all the statues and did scavenger hunts etc. More then enough to keep us entertained 😀
