I have a 1 year old and have just started dating. I'm so tired. Luckily I usually have a few hours on Saturdays baby free, but the rest of the week it's work part time and the other two days with my son. So I can go on dates Saturday day time, but that means I don't have to do the shopping / cook meals / do washing / rest / top up petrol / all the other crap I can't do during the week. And it's tiring! My friends tell me I've probably got another year or more going on regular dates before I find the right person. Is it really feasible to date as a single parent to a small child? Does anyone have any tips? Even keeping up with the messaging before the dates is a challenge! x

Do you need to date? Do you really need a partner? It sounds like a chore, I'd be having a nap instead.

Do you want to date?

Mine is 12 and it's just too much effort!

Haha a nap instead sounds like a very good idea! I do want to meet someone at some point though, am generally happy day to day being single and don't mind staying single for a few years really, but not want to be on my own forever :-(

@TurnUpTurnip that sounds tough. In am ideal world would you like a relationship / to go on dates etc? Or happy being single?
