Scared of going to court for child arrangement order

It is looking like I will need to go to court for a child arrangement order. I spoke to my lawyer who said the process involves social services and cafcass and that really scared me.

I'm scared it will turn into mud slinging time.

I'm also scared they'll ask my children what they want and they'll say there dad.

But there has been serious long term domestic abuse and I have a non-mol against him.

Can anyone reassure me at all?

Hi. I went to court as a LIP when my ex asked for CAO.
Yes it was scary. Cafcass were ordered to carry out a section 7 and spoke to me then visited the house to speak to my son. They also contacted the family support worker that we were working with and the pre school and childminder.
The had police evidence too and it all was based on facts. I've heard not so good stories but for my son the outcome was a good one.

Ok that's good to hear thanks @Yellowcakestand. The school have actually been very supportive to me over the years so hopefully
That would go in my favour too.
