Another housing benefit question...

Can anyone give me an idea of how much housing benefit you can get if you're a working LP? Is it a set amount or done individually? I've been told that once I start working, if I'm in my own place I'll get 4 weeks rent paid and then housing benefit on top of that. I really want to be in my own place by then but flats/houses are quite expensive around here so it'd help to know how much I can expect to get back from the council. Thanks

It is figured out on an individual basis.

No idea how much you could expect - if you are on a low income, I'd say quite a big proportion of the rent will be HB.
