Am I doing enough with 10WO

Im brand new to MN and was just looking for some advise.
I have a 10WO and I often feel guilty I'm not doing enough with him.
We go out for a walk every day and I try to make sure we do tummy time etc, but it still feels very much like most time is spent feeding and changing still. He enjoys his baby gym and I always take time to play simple games and have regular 'chats' with him but just feel like I'm not doing enough!

Theres no babygroups due to Covid in my area - wanted to know what do other mums do with their young ones during the day? How do you make sure they get enough stimulation?

10 weeks 😕 of course you are doing enough! I wouldn’t even take a 10 week old to a baby group in fact I didn’t go at all, 10 week olds don’t need constant entertainment

You are doing plenty really!!

If you want to try something else you could read to baby or sing and dance round the room together but honestly the best thing you can do at that age is lots of cuddles and look after yourself so you don’t burn out and exhaust yourself.
Congrats on your little one

Ah thank you both! Yes we sometimes read and dance and sing, but sometimes we run out of time as the day just seems to go no matter how early the start Grin!!
Such a relief as I thought I was missing something

Oh bless you. I think I posted the exact same thread about 10 years ago.
You know what my son's favourite thing to do was, once he got a tiny bit older? Sit in front of the washing machine and watch it go round.
They're really very easy to entertain. Just do what keeps you fulfilled and/or entertained. As long as baby is safe, clean, fed and cuddled then you're doing quite enough! Trust me, it won't be long before they'll actually need stimulation but even then very little will suffice (see washing machine comment above).

Good luck and keep going. You're doing fab

You are doing great. well done.

I remember when dd was awake in the day for the first time and having a brain fart and askingg what I should do with her....

I put it down to the complete utter exhaustion and the pph and the continued bleeding for ages afterwards.

I sang to dd as I changed her nappy. chatted as we walked. (which was not often to be fair, certainly not daily) two birds one stone
