House share with other solos

So I'm a single Mum with a my 4 yr old girl & we're on the hunt for one (and a half) new housemate(s) - a parent & kid - to build a new household in a new setting. I have already been living in a communal living arrangement with my daughter and two other single mums and their kids and its works amazingly well, but its all change here as I’m moving to a house in Leytonstone/Leyton/Forest gate. (Specifics unknown) so am looking for a new mini-gang to remake a shared household ting there.

We would share most meals, cooking responsibilities, school pick up & we even babysit for each other kids for a night out! Yay!!! I think this kind of arrangement is a win win winner! I’ve found its actually much easier all round as there are other kids to entertain each other, and adults to share things with…

I won’t be moving til quite a few months yet but keen to see who is out there and what might work. So if you know anyone (mum or dad or anyone actually who fancies living in a blended family type way) - please do share! And get in touch... I’m all ears

I always thought that would be a good idea especially for young single parents who were renting, in theory at least, it would help with loneliness and also with child care.

But you would have to choose your housemates carefully or it could be a nightmare, so it's interesting to hear of someone who has made it work.

My friend was a single parent decades ago, she was lucky enough to get a council flat but it was pre tax credits so she could not work. She was stuck in the flat with no adult company and with no money - her life was grim. I used to think a house share with the right people could have transformed her life.

I can’t think of anything worse personally but how about checking on spare room?

So I have been doing it super successfully for three years already, and it works for me and my family.
